The history of our woodworking shop began in the 1960s when it opened as Superior Components. Later this company was purchased by ATCO and became ATCO Components. In 1984 when ATCO decided to divest itself from the custom woodwork business, the assets of the company were sold. The new company formed was Cambium Woodwork Ltd.
In September of 2002 the company moved from ATCO Park to its present location in the Ramsay area of Calgary.
In March 2005 Wayne Niddrie, who had joined Cambium in 1992 as production manager, purchased the assets of the company and remained as the owner until his retirement in 2016
In March 2016 Ryan Stawnychko and his wife Leda purchased the shares of the company. Ryan joined the company in 1992, and has worked in almost every position up to Production Manager until he became the owner.
Although the ownership and company name have changed over the years the high standard of quality woodwork has remained constant.
